I was looking for something special, that would appeal to those with different tastes, and wouldn’t take days to complete. This relatively simple gift was an excellent solution for teacher thank you gifts. One batch of the fudge yielded enough for five gift boxes.
Thank you to The Abundant Home for the base recipe. I did not use nuts, as the gifts were going to a nut-free zone, but pecans would work very well with this. For future, 1/2 bittersweet and 1/2 semisweet chocolate would work well too.
The gift boxes:
The gift boxes are 3-1/2″ w x 3-1/2″ l x 1-3.4″ t. They may be put together with one sheet of heavyweight scrapbook paper. I suggest cardstock. I lined them with parchment and closed them with elastic ribbon. A “thank you” note was added made from the leftover scrapbook paper.
