Clean energy colleagues-
Today’s newsletter takes a departure from the normal format. I’m releasing a new book into the world today and I want to share the news!
Over the past year+, I have been working on a guidebook for clean energy companies to walk them through a branding process. My intention when I set out on this journey was to create a resource for organizations who would not otherwise invest in branding and a brand strategy.
This is the result – a guidebook that will help organizations cut through shiny thing syndrome* and take their companies through a branding process, coming out the other side with a strong brand strategy and execution plan.
There are plenty of branding books out there, but I wrote this one specifically for clean energy companies. Example companies are from this industry. I’ve spoken to issues in branding that crop up in this industry. And while most branding books focus on large consumer brands as examples, I’ve minimized these references to keep the book relevant to our industry.

One of my early readers said, “I confess I got distracted sometimes because it inspired me with ideas for my own team and marketing.” I hope you find this book as helpful as she did.
Please share with those you think might be interested. And definitely let me know what you think!
* Shiny thing syndrome: Shiny thing syndrome involves implementing whatever shiny, new tactic the decision-maker has recently heard about without assessing if it makes sense within an overall strategy.
